The Benefits of Using the Quickride Passenger App

It’s here, phase 2 of Quickride is up and running. This new upgrade is jam-packed with new features for all aspects of the system, including the Quickride Passenger App.

The Quickride Passenger App

The Quickride Passenger app is a web app designed to allow passengers to set a precise location when they are ready for their pickup or drop-off. This gives service advisors more time with in-person customers and less time on the phone. Being able to set a precise location allows shuttle drivers to always know exactly where a passenger needs to be picked up or dropped off.

New Features

The new Quickride Passenger app has a few more features that make the already extremely useful tool a revolutionary step forward in your shuttle service experience. Some of the new features include:

  • Impressive spot-on shuttle ETA’s along with a map view of the shuttle’s route
  • An improved and easy to use location picker
  • The ability to leave shuttle ratings and reviews
  • And a fresh new look

How it Works

We wanted to make sure that using the Passenger app was as simple as possible. Our re-design has accomplished exactly that. Let’s take a quick tour of the new Passenger App

1. If you’ve opted to create your own shuttle ride, you’ll get a text message with a link to the Quickride Passenger app. 

 2. Once you’ve clicked the link, you’ll be taken to the Quickride Passenger app.

3. Once you’ve clicked on “Let’s Go!” you’ll be asked if you’d like to allow the Quickride Passenger app to access your current location. Allowing the Quickride Passenger app to access your current location is entirely up to you. The app has been designed to work at its full potential whether you choose to share your location or not.
4. If you’ve opted out of sharing your location you will be asked if you are at the service center’s station. If you’ve allowed access to your current location this step will be skipped and you will take to the next step.

5. You will then be prompted to enter your pick-up/drop-off location.

6. You’ll then be able to adjust your pick-up/drop-off location by setting your pin.
7. After having confirmed your destination, you’ll be asked to enter your name and phone number. This information is necessary for the event your shuttle driver must contact you.

8. After completing your ride setup, your shuttle driver’s ETA will be visible with a real-time map view of their current location.

 9. Once your shuttle driver has picked you up and you are en-route to your destination, you can watch the drive in real time via a map view of the shuttle’s route.

10. Once your ride is complete and your shuttle driver has dropped you, off you can rate your shuttle ride and leave a review.


11. Once you have left a rating and review you’re done!

And that’s it! The Quickride Passenger app makes it easy to schedule rides on your own time. No more pick-up or drop-off confusion, just efficient and timely shuttle rides.

Benefits of the Quickride Passenger App

Still not convinced that the Quickride Passenger app is the way to go? Here are some reasons why the app is a shuttle ride essential:

  1. 1. Spot-on Shuttle ETA’s. (no really, these ETA’s are crazy spot-on) You’ll always know how long it will take your shuttle driver to get to your pick-up location with the Passenger app. You’ll get a real-time map view of your shuttle driver’s whereabouts with live updates on their ETA. You can say goodbye to those service center phone calls.
  2. 2. Easily Contact Shuttle Drivers. Sometimes your shuttle driver gets lost while on their way to your pick-up location. If you notice that your shuttle drive has arrived to your location on the map but don’t see them where you are, you can contact your shuttle driver with just the click of a button straight from the Passenger app.
  3. 3. Cancel your Ride with Ease. Sometimes you enter the wrong pick-up/drop-off destination or you’re not ready to get picked up yet but accidentally summoned your shuttle. We get it, accidents happen. That’s why we made the cancellation process a lot easier. You can cancel your ride through the Passenger app by clicking the “Cancel” button.
